WindowWise
The very short version
WindowWise is a recommendation tool. We tell you when opening or closing your windows would save energy. You decide what to do. We don't promise specific savings, and we're not responsible for anything that happens because you followed (or ignored) one of our suggestions.
What WindowWise is
WindowWise ("the app", "we", "us") is a software product that delivers weather-aware recommendations about when to open or close the windows in your home. We are Attic Light Innovations, LLC, a US-based company.
Acceptable use
Use WindowWise for its intended purpose: managing windows in your own home. Don't:
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract data from our backend
- Create more than one household for the same physical home to evade device caps
- Use the family-sharing system to share Premium with people outside your household
- Spam invites or brute-force our backend
No warranties
WindowWise is provided "as-is." We do our best to give accurate recommendations, but weather forecasts are imperfect, sensors can fail, and your home is unique. We don't promise:
- Specific energy savings
- That every notification will be timely
- That the app will be available 100% of the time
Liability
We're not responsible for damages — direct or indirect — arising from your use of WindowWise. That includes utility-bill costs, property damage from leaving windows open, missed notifications, or anything else. Use your judgment.
Premium purchases
Premium is a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google, not us. Premium benefits become household-wide once any member of a household purchases it. Subscription billing and cancellation are handled by your platform's app store provider.
Termination
You can stop using WindowWise at any time by uninstalling the app. We may limit, rate-limit, block, or restrict abusive or automated access to WindowWise services where technically feasible.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, except where the laws of your jurisdiction provide mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived by contract.
