Pick a place to look at while we work

WindowWise watches the weather. While it does, it shows you a quiet animated landscape that shifts with the time of day, the weather outside, and the season. Meadow ships with the app. The others are one-time purchases that support the development of an app with no ads, no subscriptions, and no data collection.

Meadow

Sun-warm hills with shifting clouds and a glowing sky band.

The default backdrop. Procedurally lit so the sun arcs through the day, the sky cools at dusk, and the foreground grass deepens at night. Free for every install.

Why themes are a one-time purchase

WindowWise has no ads, no subscriptions, no analytics tracking you across the web, and no premium tier that gates the features that actually help you save energy. The app is fully usable on the day you install it and stays that way.

Each photographic theme takes weeks of work — sourcing or commissioning the original images, hand-grading variants for every time of day, every weather, and every season (20 variants per theme), and tuning the in-app animation so the lighting shifts feel like part of the landscape rather than a slideshow. A theme purchase is the way to support that work.

What you get with a theme

Each paid theme ships with 20 hand-graded variants covering five times of day (dawn, full day, golden hour, dusk, night) across two weather states (clear and overcast) and two seasons (summer and winter). The app picks the right variant for the current conditions and cross-fades smoothly between them as the day progresses.

Themes are pure visuals — they don't change the engine's window-opening recommendations or notification timing. They're cosmetic, on purpose.

More themes coming

The catalog grows over time. Future themes are likely to include high-altitude mountain landscapes, Mediterranean coast, desert canyon, and seasonal one-shots (Halloween, mid- winter, spring bloom). Each release is announced via the app's update notes — there's no push notification spam.
